Saturday

April 11

Arrive and meet us in Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, Jordan. Drop off your bags at our hotel. We will then explore AMMAN DOWNTOWN, enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, and enjoy a good night’s rest in a 4-star hotel in Amman.

Sunday

April 12

Lace up your hiking boots, pack water and your camera, and head to some Wadi’s in the DEAD SEA area. Time permitting, float in the Dead Sea before heading back to your hotel for a hot shower, scrumptious meal, and good night’s rest.

Monday

April 13

Drive to WADI MOUSA after breakfast. We will book into an intimate family run hotel before heading off to explore Petra, a world renowned UNESCO site dating back to the 4th century. Enjoy an authentic Jordanian home cooked meal in our hotel in Wadi Mousa.  Overnight in Wadi Mousa.

Tuesday

April 14

Take an old Bedouin trail into the ancient city of PETRA up to the Monastry inside Petra. Explore the rest of Petra before heading back to our hotel for a hot shower and early supper. Visit Petra by night. We will overnight in our family hotel in Wadi Mousa again, sipping away copious cups of hot, herb infused tea whilst chatting away with our hotel host until late into the evening.

Hike the beautiful WADI GHUWEIR to Fenynan after breakfast. Possibly the most spectacular hike in Jordan, this beautiful but demanding trail guides you through a canyon of tropical foliage as if you were wandering through a “lost world.” Rarely visited by tourists, there is plenty of vegetation including hanging gardens in the walls of the Siq fed by water seeping from the cliffs. We will enjoy hot Bedouin tea brewed on an open fire with lunch next to a stream in the cool shadows before finishing our hike to where a vehicle will be waiting to pick us up and take us back to our hotel in Wadi Mousa.

Thursday

April 16

Today we hike WADI BIN HAMMAD, another beautiful Wadi. Wadi Bin Hammad is a two-way hike, so you’ll go back the same way you came, which means twice as much time to enjoy this Jordan gem. And as we are already in KARAK, we’ll make a day of it and take a wander around the crusader ruins at Karak Castle. Overnight in Al Karak and enjoy an authentic Jordan home cooked meal, whilst getting to know the locals and their culture better.

Friday

April 17

Sadly our wonderful hiking experience has come to an end. There are just SO much more beautiful places in Jordan to explore on foot. We will head off to Queen Alia International Airport, Amman and say our goodbyes until next time!
